
Understanding Generational Difference
This half-day workshop has been designed to provide an understanding of generational difference and behaviour. Where the law is concerned with under age sales (to the younger Generation Y), conflict can often arise between the retailer (often an older Generation X or Baby boomer) and the young person being refused.
By applying generational understanding the retailer can avoid that conflict
and defuse what for many can be a difficult situation
The workshop is essential for all customer facing staff, managers and owners of businesses where conflict can arise with younger members of the public.
Objectives
The workshop has three main learning objectives for delegates:
Recognise the four different generations.
Understand the differing values, attitudes and triggers that drive the behaviour of each generation.
Understand how to deal with each generation effectively, particularly when refusing under age sales to Generation Y.
